Having just had a very painful colonoscopy last week the only medical procedure I have had which was more painful was diathermy on bladder cancer when the local anaesthetic wore off - I couldn't have a general as I had only very shortly before that had a heart attack. Incidentally the heart attack led to the discovery of the bladder cancer as mediction for that caused the bladder cancer to start bleeding.

So in an ironic way, the heart attack saved your life, as the cancer could have spread and been a far worse death than the heart attack alone...
