I’ve been given the job of making work (so that it can be sold) a Canon BJC-4400 colour printer.
Only problem is it has a US plug and says 120V 60Hz on the back...
It has worked in the UK, but I don’t know if that was at 230V or with a voltage converter.
Selling it as untested and 120V only on eBay probably wouldn’t get any interest at all (given it’s so heavy to post) so I’m quite tempted to just plug it in and see.
I’ve known voltage ratings to be wrong (100-240v bits inside but 230v stamped on the outside) so is that likely to be true of this printer, or is it really just made for 120V?
