Ages ago I used to get the old analogue signals from 1 Deg West.
Channels included TV 1000 Canal + etc.
These channels then went digital only leaving my setup 'redundant'
I have now got myself a dish, digital decoder and the LNB.
Thing is I need a card.
Questions :
1. Where do I get a card
2. Can I take it you need to update the codes via a remote once a month (like on the 'old' system)
3. Where can I get these codes.
4. Are there different sets of codes for each channel (I assume there are quiet a few channels available)
5. Is an auto-update card a better option.
Apologies in advance if I'm on the wrong forum for these questions but I need some pointers.
Cheers
Mick

Really before you make decisions about the type of card, you need to know what the encryption method is for the channels you want to watch. You can look at the channels on that particular satellite by going to http://www.lyngsat.com and selecting 1W.

Once sorted, you will need to look at the best programmer for the job and whether the encryption is actually hacked.
