hi there can anyone tell me what exactly a card programmer does? can i watch encripted channels with it and how? i have a technomate1000ci and dragon cam and am new to the whole sat thing:

Hi, and welcome to the Forum.

A programmer doesn't in itself do the decryption. It's for loading your cam, or in the Dragon's case the loader card, with suitable files to enable you to decrypt the channels at present compromised.

with cas 3 i/f you'll need to get dragon loader and load in the cam the predator software. read very carefully the s/w and cas3 instructions. and check carefully also the details of the predator version starting from 3.20.

look in the web for ucassupport+dragon. you'll get all the information and sw you need
