CBBC HD appeared on 11.023H

It's Cbeebies what I see now, did they switch programme or was CBBC a typo?

yes it is the other childrens channel BBC CBeebs which is paired with BBC 4. Let's see if they do it the same way as on SD, same PIDs but different SIDs. BBC4 should appear this evening.

It seems likely it will be the same channel sharing arrangement as SD.

I've got an 8921 on that frequency as well. HD but just a black screen.

And BBC Parliament or will that remain solely in SD?

not sure, but it may be even more enthralling in HD.....

Am I the only person who thinks bbc four is a bit pointless, most of the time showing 4:3 black and white programmes and old top of the pops episodes from the 80's. How often will they show hd content

You may certainly find yourself in a minority...there's lots of content (admittedly some culled from other BBC channels) which was and therefore will be broadcast in HD...it's a channel I find myself gravitating towards more often....and not because of the occasional TOTP...

BBC2 and BBC4 are the only uk PSB channels I will ( maybe lose at my location ) miss when they transfer to astra 2E uk spotbeam, excellent programs. :-applause

Other options for these channels are already tested and up and running.

+1 for the previous two Posts.

BBC4 has an eclectic and high-quality Program mix and it will be a joy to have it as an HD Channel.

all the concerts like proms etc will be great in HD. Also older programmes look better upscaled.

Where else would you find the wonderfully titled programme "A303: Highway to the sun" than BBC4?

Plus 1 from me!

Why, they even have jazz! Look in vain for it on any other FTA channels

+1 BBC 4 is where it's at.

(And BBC3 )

I don't see the point of BBC 4 or 3 HD though. Almost all the programmes are upscaled.

Even Radio 3 has much less jazz than they used to have. As you say, not much point even looking at the other FTA channels. :(
