hi is there a problem with cbs action, i get no signal.
the frequency is 12560 v.
I thought this would be ok in the canaries.
I was looking forward to watching Star Trek.:-DOH2

Do you have the correct SR 27500 and FEC 2/3?

Have you deleted the previous channels with the Zone labels? (When I scanned for the new-fangled CBS stuff, it claimed not to find them as the pre-existing Zone jobbies were still there bearing the same PIDs etc).

CBS Action is working fine - Ive got Star Trek TOS on atm

the channel is listed as cbs action, i have also tried to add channel to the s*y boy but there is no signal, i have checked the dish and it is fine, but i get no signal on that frequency?

i have the correct sr and fec

Ah, a "s*y boy" (sic). Nice!

Seriously, I can't understand this: What Make/Model of s*y box is it? Have you rebooted it? Are you getting any/all of the other Channels from that TP? Euronews?

im n ot getting any of the channels from that frequency, i connected the dish to my tm and seached the frequency and im getting 20% quality which is the lowest it goes so basicly no signal, moving the dish slightly made now difference, i tried to fine tune dish with meter but its still no different

Ok. I see from another thread that you replaced your recently damaged dish - what is the replacement? Is it actually big enough?

That was my dads dish.
im using a 1.2
i have an 80g thomson s*y + full package

Ah, ok.

Same question, though: Is it big enough?

Also, Thomson Sky+ boxes are prone to incipient PSU failure which manifests itself in various ways, including losing channels on some frequencies.

Ah - Thompson - could be the old power supply capacitor problem starting to rear its ugly head.

Lost any more channels recently??

EDIT - snap! :D

my girlfriend said we lost s*y 1,2 and 3 last week for a while but its back.

i connected the dish to my tm 5400 but it doesnt pick it up either on advanced search i can only enter 12560 v 27500 though theres no place for the fec

Auto FEC, I imagine - most boxes are.

Despite the comments from us about Thomson, the fact your TM doesn't get it either narrows it down: But not enough to be able to give you a pointer, sadly.

Perhaps other Canariites may appear idc.

She's on Eurobird 1 fixed so shouldn't be a problem. It's the S1 beam that's the problem in Lanzarote if you are without the 3.1m aligned to this bird.

LNb skew is critical as there is another transponder on the same frequency, although flysat/lyngsat indicate it's used for feeds :)

thanks ill see if my dad is picking it up

spoke to my dad , hes picking up cbs action fine, do you think i should try and move my dish slightly, i have a lacuna mk iv it has eurobird but i get no signal from the meter but i didnt know wheather i could pick up the frequency that is preset anyway + didnt want to move dish off astra 28 as im on fringe

Need to peak the dish using a meter whereby you can select the individual transponders. In this case those on the fixed beam only.
