Is this an E2 plugin only. I looked at the tar.gz file and it certainly isn't compatible with the E1 file structure

fintanni you'll have to find the E1 build of it. CCcam official release zip file contains several different binaries for several different platforms. People build them into E1 or E2 installers and add them to the addons panel. You could ofcourse FTP the files manually and write a start stop scritp yourself.

You don't have the choice if you use S.I.F images

You'll find the script under smartcam.config in Var/ETC. (E1)

Its also the same under Nabilosat Darkstar 2 (E1)

Just put new cccam file into Var/Bin and then modify the file below to suit

Make sure you give cccam the same name in Var/Bin as the bit in bold italics otherwise it won't work. Don't forget to change the permissions on the cccam file also, otherwise it may not work.

...but on the other hand it stops people making out they have a local card when they havnt

Wont be using this as I'm using Omnikey in my Ubuntu server and no longer show as local but hop 10. It was easy enough to spot fakers if you were diligent enough. Just stop your share to them and if their local disappeared then you knew.

Has anyone noticed any improvement in ecm times, almost every post I've read other forums seem to find its slower.

Yeah, 10 showing on e1 box as well with 214. I'm back on 213 though cause of the slower response times. Was 190 to 200; with new cccam pushing 250. This in itself shouldn't be a problem, I'll just wait and see how things progress these next couple of days
