CCcam setup problem

My Satellite Setup
Dreambox DM500s, DM800HD, Sky+, minidish, Fortek star 90cm dish, Fortek Star Motor.
My Location
Newcastle England
Hi all,

I have an active Sly card in DM500 and am trying to share to DM800 in same house.
I would rather use the 800 to have local but couldn't get card to work in it, even after reading all the threads.
My 800 sees the server ( it is listed in CCcam info ) but isn't sharing the card.
Here are my settings:

DM500
server listen port:12000
F: myname mypass 3 0 0 {0:0:1}

DM800
C: myhost.dyndns.org 12000 myname mypass no

I have INADYN set up on DM800 which works OK.
I have forwarded PORT 12000 to DM500 with TCP/UDP both ticked.

Any ideas anyone?

It's OK I've sorted it.
Just changed to LAN address instead of DYNDNS account and all works.

For future reference, if you do decide to share with someone over the net,

What seems to have been wrong was some problem with port forwarding, maybe you inadvertantly forwarded port 12000 to the DM800 instead of the DM500.

If the DM800 could see your dyndns host name but not connect to the DM500, that would point to a problem with port forwarding. Especially give that it works fine over the LAN.

Is there a simple solution to get the DM800 to recognise the Sly card and be able to share it as a local.
I have read about NewCS but as I understand it, it doesn't show your card as local.
And I've read about Smargo Smartreader+ but as I've spent about £500 for 800 + hard drive, I didn't really want to spend another £50.
