Going back over to my house in Greece in a few weeks time and was wondering if I will still be able to pick up a FTA channel 4. Have checked Satbeams and Lyngsat but cannot find anything other than 2D frequencies

Channel 4 etc is actually easier to receive on 12480v than previously because 12480v is now on 2B North - I think it switched a few months ago. At present I can get it on a 1.2m dish in Israel in fine weather.

Thanks for replies guys. Not sure if I am getting this wrong Geoff but from what I can see on Satbeams, 12480v is FTV and would need a FTV Sky card to receive the channels. What I am looking for is channel 4 on a FTA frequency which according to Analoguesats link is no longer available

The fta version (TT on 4) shut down a couple of weeks ago.

Correct - needs Sky box. Other way is Zatoo and a VPN setup via internet - but not very reliable.

Do you get other transponders apart from 12480v on 2b north with your 1.2m dish geoffrey ?

Thanks

All the 2B North transponders are OK on the ChannelMaster 1.2m offset dish - in the evening and with a clear sky.
ie the following transponders:
TP15-11992H
TP16-12012V
TP28-12246V
TP31-12304H
TP36-12402V
TP40-12480V
The full channel lists are on Lyngsat but include ITV1 regions, Gold+1 and many other +1 channels, Sky movies premier HD and other HD movies, History HD and Nat Geo Wild HD.
I have found that using the C120 mount Invacom Quad with a ChannelMaster feed is the only way to get 12480V (channel 4).
I have not investigated if the other 2BN transponders will work with other LNBs.
Incidentally I can also get Channel 5 on 2A south. My Horizon meter also locks Gold on 2A south but I dont get a fully locked picture .
