Huevos/swoosh Do you still have a problem with ch4 on 10714. I haven't been able to get it since July. I have played with the dish today after buying a black ultra lnb but no luck.
Have you tried the other CH4 on 12.480V ?

10714 is a horizontally polarised transponder so it's not possible here even on a 2.4m. Further north and south it works for part of the day but not here. Personally if I want Channel 4 I watch it on 11798H.

Hi Zorba
I don't have a sky card (only the old blue one) so can't get it
I suppose i will have to get one
Hi Huevos
and i suppose i should invest in a HD receiver lol...Then i'll have the 2 transponders to choose from
I did get a slight lock on it earlier (10714)..so given the size of my dish i did quite well

I suspect some of these problems are being caused by Badr 5 at 26E - shes been powering up the Astra 2D frequencies in recent weeks and basically the overlaps are blatting the much weaker 28E signals. Folks in Cyprus are already complaining as their uk channels are wiped out :D

Unfortunately the problems are only going to get worse as more frequencies are activated.

ATM these are powered up

10729V
10730H
1077H

Well,at least we got good hot weather still. Grit ? Thats what we do to our teeth:D
And ,we are all getting our broadband speeds doubled for free in January. IPtv for me when it all goes tits up :)

Thanks Analoguesat..that may explain it..I didn't have any problems with ch4 up until july/aug

C4 is on 10714. Doesnt look lie Badr 5 has that one powered up yet. (Nor Arabsat 5A at 30.5E which has similar capability to cause interference)

It could of course be local interference of some sort - have any new transmitter masts been erected nearby recently?

not to my knowledge... i live in the country so would have noticed..i will just have to get a card/hd box and use the other transponders

No spill over from Arabsat 10729V here on the 150cm dish. 0.75º off axis and any sign of Arabsat disappears.
