Channel master 1.8 dish arms

Can "UP"mean "UP and running"? Just kidding

How many Men really read instructions? My ex would say none........But if that dish has an up arrow, and it's pointing in the right direction then it's an offset focal point dish. (it looks taller top to bottom then side to side)

But in my many years of installing dishes I have seen dishes come right out of the box without an indication as to what end goes up, if you look at that photo in his post you could turn it 90 degrees, (mounting holes are equally spaced in a square pattern) and using the correct arms make it into an elliptical, that's why I asked about if there was a hole at the top of the dish on the outer rim.

He got it used, it could have been put together wrong in the first place.

I ordered my arms from SSS actually - had to ask for them specifically. But they came from Eurosat, so it's best to get in touch with them if that's what you want.

brilliant lads, thanks for all the advice and encouragement , rest assured the dish has "up" on the the back and is mounted the right way, shall take on board all the suggestions and try one by one, I am in no hurry, its just a hobby I am growing to relish
