Thank you ST1. Yes, i have the same arm as on the picture.

I found LNBs you write, but they has different number of holes, i have 6 holes on the feedhorn... Do i need some reduction? And why Norsat LNB are squere, how can i put this two thing together (circle flange to squere LNB??) :-)

Hi - dishdx
As you say the feed you have is different in regard to the hole spacings .. and is different in general appearance to either my regular feed for a 1.2 and 1.8 channel master shown with a inverto black pro fitted ...... and the one from my 2.4 Channel naster dual reflector dish on which i use the Invacom quad ..... i,v not seen the type you have before ?

Edit ..
To add a second pic showing the spacers required for the 1.2 / 1.8 feed to fit the regular 40 mm holder
the 2.4 holder is quite different and does not use them.

P/N 3040946 is the official feed for the 1.2 Receive transmit from Channel Master, so why you have shown Prodelin antennas (with de-ice kit ) is an unknown.

Just seen this pic online .... looks like your feed - and shows a conversion piece
feed 3.jpg

To be honest though i,v found that a standard 40 mm Inverto Black ultra twin l.n.b.f gives the best all round results on my 1.8 offset Channel Master ... and i,v tried many different c-120 type l.n.b,s on my c.m.feed over the years.

I just made photos of my feedhorn with product number. So, what i have at home? :-) 6 holes...
As i see on Nelson´s picture some reduction exists. So there are no C120 with 6 holes and definitly i need this reduction? If yes, than i can take the Black Ultra or any other LNB with squere shape flange... But where to buy the reduction...On E-bay i dont see it. Or can I put 8 holes LNB to this 6 holes (maybe some holes are in the same position...)??

@dishdx To connect this feedhorn to out-of-shelve LNB like Inverto flange you will need special adapter. I think, as it was already mentioned by @nelson_b it is better to place this feedhorn to the upper shelve and use universal LNBF instead. I would suggest to start from IBU (Inverto Black Ultra).

Ok, understand. IBU i have on my 120 dish... but i thought, that best is to have original feedhorn and i wanted to use it... But if Nelson´s says, that standard IBU is better... i should try it:) But LNB holder isn´t 40mm, is probably 23mm (the big white thing on my picture). Im not usere if IBU are 23mm, i have seen only 40mm.

Ah ... yes that is awkward ... now that i see your holder- it is the same type as my 2.4 cm. dual reflector .... for an experiment on that dish , i removed the plastic 40 mm casing from the IBU (the metal feed tube inside is around 21mm so i made temporary thin spacers to bring it back up to 23mm to fit the holder ... but the IBU is not the best on that dish .... the Invacom quad c120 + c.m. feed (see pic in post 22) is the best ..

my 1.8 c.m. has a standard black plastic 40mm holder like the smaller channel master dishes and uses regular spacers to make a c.m. feed back to 40 mm

regards .....

@dishdx I am going to make new feedarms for my CM 1.8m, so, if you are interested you can get original ones.
Add: I mean, those feedarms and original plastic 40mm LNB-holder IMG_20170513_115915 (Large).jpg

Here are photos of dish, LNB arms and holders. The dish is complete original, only the LNB i have to buy and in (not far) future want to make polarmount. Unfortunatelly i dont have any other photo, because of weight of the dish it still lies on grass. On front of the dish is old Channel Master sticker, the surface is ok. The back side of dish i painted.

I thing that your "light" holder are on CM1.8 for common market and my holder is for professional use on some uplinks etc.??

You could be right. But mirror is still same. I think that it is not so easy to make polar-mount for such a heavy dish, however-possible. I still have plan to install CM1.8m on H-H motor, namely "Ajak Patriot".

Your Channel Master is an Rx/Tx (Receive/Transmit) model, where the LNB holder need to support transmission electronics as well as the LNB for reception. This means that he feedarms and holders you have are a bit more complicated than just a normal Rx configuration.
@RimaNTSS is offering you the standard Rx configuration, which works well with 40mm LNBs (such as the well-performing Black Ultra series from Inverto).
Don't worry, your equipment is fine, but you may not need the full configuration to receive some SAT-TV signals.

I can modify a BU (or another lnb if you like ) with a flange fitting to that feedhorn .
I do have a prodelin feedhorn that also has those 6 holes

I almost forgot.... I have Twin LNB modified for such a feedhorn . I've tested it on 1.8m Prodelin and it performed well.

OK! It is good idea, i dídnt think this way :-o This mod i could probably do myself too.. I never looked inside LNB... i should do it:-) Thank you for inspiration.

btw. Very nice work! I like it. It is much more cheaper solution than to buy professional LNB.

before you cover the exposed mesh would you accurately measure the size of the mesh square size for reference if possible
Thanks.
