Channels have been gradually going off

My Satellite Setup
My dreambox isn't connected to my computer.
My Location
barbados
Okay I installed the dreambox a while back and starting a couple of months ago every week or every two weeks a channel just stopped showing and it has been happening since then and now I only have 14 viewable channels out of the 80+ I'm supposed to have. I can scroll to the channels that aren't showing but all i see is a black screen with no picture or volume. The channels that are showing have been acting wonky too. Choppy pictures etc.



Additional info, the ok button on my remote doesn't work
 
Your dish alignment may need tweaking to sort the disappearing channels out.

Or the cable may be damaged, full of water,, or there may be a spider under the lnb cover, the lnb could be failing etc etc.

how would i go about fixing it?

You need to find out what the problem is first before someone can tell you how to fix it. This doesn't happen to be a C/S set up does it?
 
Compare the signal quality and BER on channels you can get, with those you can't. If the signal on the ones you can't are a poor, then it could be your dish setup etc. Also check lyngsat for the transponders used, make sure you have the correct parameters.

They are both the same, and i checked the site and i have the right parameters
 
Which channels do you still have and on which satellite?
Do you pay for a subscription or are they free to air channels?
