I have a Monterey 140 for sale. It has not been in use for six years or so, but worked perfectly back then. I may be interested in a Freesat receiver, because here in Norway, it is impossible to buy one. I have a lot of stuff for the Chaparral tuners, from the 80`s, if someone should be interested. The Monterey comes with the original remote.

Of course, sorry about that, I was thinking in the range of 200 pounds. I paid 1700 pounds for the receiver, when it was new. The price is just a suggestion, I am open for bids, or trade, as I wrote.
 
Can you post some pictures. Do you have the original packaging & manual ?
 
Hi, I am not sure about the original manual, but I think I can get
one from Sweden, where I bought it. I have a lot of literature about
the Chaparral range, if You want, I can give You this, with the receiver
in case You buy it. I know I have a manual for the 40 model, but I will investigate more, if You are seriously interested.

I am interested in purchasing it but please post some pictures of your Monterey 140, need to look at general condition of it and we will take it from there.

Now that is a real old timer, I'm amazed it has survived. I think can remember seeing reviews of that model in What Satellite
 
does it have at least the DVB upgrade ?? because soon all analog stuff will be off air

i already have one chap 140
but no software for it,can you upload ,it to fileserver,then i can take a look on it!

this dvb kit,for chappral,is nearly imposible to get,i never haved any!

It is analog only. I would guess this machine is most useful to control
a bigger system, because it has double motor controls. I used both, for elevation, and azimuth. It also has some sort of autofocus, it searches for the satellite, if the signal disappears, useful with unstable satellites.
I had 2,4 gHz--4 gHz-- and Quad band on my antenna. The dish was 3 metres, and the actuator was 24 inches. The elevation actuator was 16 inches. The Chaparral Monterrey is a collectors item, for the right guy.
I am interested in any suggestion.....

i will have to think about this and let you know in couple of days. i was looking for the one with the dvb upgrade as you know everything is digital nowadays. The only use you can put this receiver is to drive a satellite dish, other then that not much else.

yes this unit has great features ,regarding the Autofocus option ,its useless if there is no signal,analog in this case..regards
 
Hi, I'm also interested but before I proceed can you please give me an idea on shipping costs to the UK as these were extremely heavy.

I have checked the price by post, it is 35£, but if someone buys, I will charge only 20£, the rest I will pay. This is including insurance.

Does it come with any accessories such as the uhf remote , memory card , data lead , software etc.

No, I am sorry I don`t have any accessories with the machine. I have a lot of literature though, and I will enclose all, to the buyer.
