Chasing Midnight New Years Eve 2024

Well, this was the most awkward New Year in my life. 30 minutes before midnight, news breaks in Estonia that one of our former presidents has died. Obviously many in the country do not check the news at this time and are oblivious and so the fireworks are still going off all over even though the country should be plunging into national mourning.

In Spain, TVE International is currently live. Their schedule is also hinting at covering the Canary Islands.

Well I cant believe the day has gone so fast but we have only 1 time zone left in Europe already! Portugal UK Iceland & a few western Africa countries

WDR doing us proud - lots of fireworks from the cities in the WDR coverage area.
 
Anything else on satellites from BBC ? or only bbc alba + fireworks london ??

Theres not much else left - events all over the UK have had to be cancelled due to the dreadful weather hitting the UK today / this evening!
 
After a full day the UK events are unimpressive.

Does Sophie Ellis Bextor (BBC One 28e) count as an old wrinklie?! :-rofl2
 
I am loosing packets on fireworks uplink, can someone check ?
16°E 12722MHz 14000 Vertical.

It is 100% not my side as bbc alba has 0 loss on same satellite dish.
