Only days after the screening of the first programme of the new series, Chris Eccleston has quit as Dr Who. This doesn't surprise me because if I was an actor and had seen my embarrassing performance as the Dr, as Chris must have done, I would have quit too. This leaves the door open to a new Dr in 2006, and if Russell T Davies has his way, it'll be that joker who starred in the recent adaptation of Casanova. In fact, Mr Tennat is already "in talks". Err, not too sure about him. He, like Eccleston, seems to want to inject lots of campness and mirth into the role. I am not sure that's what the Dr is about. In fact I know that's not what the Dr is about. Hmm...
