Having skimmed through the Christmas Radio Times today, there's not an awful lot worth watching on UK telly over the christmas period. I thought it would be quite a good idea to post here any schedules of European channels you've spotted.

Sat1 on 19.2E are showing a whole day of concerts on New Year's Eve.

05:15 The Who: Live at Hyde Park 2015
06:20 Joe Bonamassa: A Tribute to Muddy Waters & Howlin' Wolf
07:05 In memoriam B. B. King: Live at Montreux 1993
08:20 100 Jahre Frank Sinatra: The Main Event
09:10 Queen: A Night at the Odeon
09:55 Tina Turner: Nice 'n' Rough
10:25 The Rolling Stones: From the Vault - Marquee 1971
11:00 Dire Straits: Alchemy Live
12:15 Deep Purple & Friends: Celebrating Jon Lord
13:15 Ringo Starr & Friends: At the Ryman
14:00 Shania Twain: Still the One - Live in Las Vegas
14:45 Lynyrd Skynyrd: Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd - Live
15:45 Bruce Springsteen & Friends: A MusiCares Tribute
16:45 Peter Maffay & Band: Niemals war es besser
18:00 Eric Clapton: Slowhand at 70
19:15 Jeff Lynne's ELO: Hyde Park 2014
20:15 Tina Turner: One Last Time
21:15 Aerosmith: Rocks Donington
22:15 Katy Perry: The Prismatic World Tour 2015
23:15 Kylie Minogue: Kiss Me Once
00:00 Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour
00:45 One Direction: Where We Are Tour

Shurrrley you mean the public service channel 3Sat.

Sat1 is about maximum advertising money and minimum spend on programmes.

I think I will watch Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus because I don't know them at all. I once caught the start of Iggy Azalea live and ended up watching it all because she was taking the piss out of it. If it comes to the worst I can watch them with the sound turned down :)

Iggy was amusing on Buzzcocks.

I got the Radio Times today but won't have time to look through it until tomorrow at the earliest.

For now I can recommend the documentary on Ray Harryhausen tomorrow morning with his amazing stop motion effects in HD.

Saturday, 12/12/2015, 08:25 - 10:00 (01:35)
BBC TWO HD

Ray Harryhausen: Special Effects Titan

Documentary featuring the work of stop-motion camera and special effects guru Ray Harryhausen. Including contributions from Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro.

Then on Sunday is Jason and the Argonauts with special effects by Harryhausen in HD. Not as good as being in a cinema but still good.

Sunday, 13/12/2015, 13:00 - 14:45 (01:45)
BBC TWO HD

Jason and the Argonauts

Action adventure saga. Jason encounters many a mortal foe in his search for the magical golden fleece, which will restore his father's throne to its rightful owner. [1963]

Clash of the Titans [1981] with more Harryhausen effects is on Channel 5 Wednesday 23/12/2015.

There never is anything new worth watching on telly over Christmas. I usually end up watching all films or stuff on DVD.

Shocking really.

the channel Arte,on astra 1(19°) has usually good stuff for the xmas period
,maybe less repetitive than the British channels, which are very tradition minded...
available in French or German, the French version provides original sound to anything in English,
while the German version doesn't ,for some reason..Try it!

I have looked through the Radio Times and among the moving wall paper there is only one thing that is essential viewing.

Saturday, 26/12/2015, 18:10 - 18:40 (00:30)

BBC ONE HD

The Farmer's Llamas

Animated comedy. Shaun the Sheep tricks the Farmer into buying three prank-pulling llamas, but when the mischief goes too far, Shaun is forced to take action to get rid of them.

Some sad gits may want to watch Rachel Riley Counts Down To Xmas on Viva every morning.

Sorry, hadn't seen this when I created my traditional 3Sat Pop Around The Clock Thread

The timings on my list are converted to GMT, and some errors in the above list corrected - chiefly at either end of the list.

And of course the rock-fest is on 3Sat, not Sat1A ;)

No problem. I just realised I'd given the wrong channel name. It is indeed 3sat :D

I bet he has watched every one of them. I have a lot of things to do but I have still managed to watch them all.

The word puzzles are a bit too difficult for me. There was a special one today for all of her stalkers.
