CM screw\bolt stipped inside arm....cant get it out

wanted to remove the LNB clamp from CM arm, a 30 second job you would think.
oh no.
the screw was SOOO stiff, i managed to turn it when clamped, but now it just spins within the inner thread part of tube..,totally nackered
any ideas.....

Perhaps remove the feed arms from the dish end and then remove any non stripped bolts and screws from the tripod shaped assembly to dismantle the feed collar as much as possible.
Once you are left with the rogue arm/bolt you should be able to separate them.

On the basis that the thread is stripped beyond repair in the feed arm, if there is enough wall thickness to allow tapping to the next size up you could re-tap it.
Alternatively, if there in not enough wall thickness for re-tapping you could look around for a threaded insert of suitable O/D to fit inside the feed arm tube.

I have attached a picture below of the threaded inserts I use to make up Precision/Elite Antennas feed support arms.
They are bonded in place with superglue or an appropriate bonding agent.

The insert is probably turning within the tube ? ..... can you cut the head off the bolt with a hacksaw - or angle grinder , so that you can at least retrieve the arm / tube - then hold it in a vise and work on the bolt stub ... blowlamp to heat it up - and some WD40 or similar after that. and remove with some mole grips .
 
If you don’t want the hardship of cutting, drilling etc a bolt cutters looks like it would do the job. Very useful item to have about the house. About £12 from your local hardware.

If the insert is turning within the tube then disconnecting the arm at the dish end should allow the arm to be removed leaving the insert plus bolt dangling in the collar clamp?
 
arm is off the dish mate- in a vice currently.
i'll try and dremel it off - but yes, bolt cutters would be handy

As above but use the molegrps on the feed arm tube to stop the internals from spinning, bolt thread in vice.

All after soaking in diesel/petrol mix for a day or two

finally had some time to look into this....
cut the bolt\screw head off - then began drilling into the recess.....my god, i didnt realise how far and how tough it would need drilling.
eventually got there.....

i then used a nut, rounded it off to a snug fit, then placed another M6 nut within that - araldited, and let set.

pretty happy with the result!!!

i can now use the arm, and sell the kit.
