Conax cams (the difference)

Want to get one, have seen new ones online for up to £100 and some on ebay a lot cheaper, listed as Telnor Conax, can someone explain the difference and how important version numbers are???

Three main versions 2.0, 3.03 & 4.00. Cheaper Telenor are probably v2.0.

If being sold on eBay you should ask the seller what the version is - it's written on the cam.

The 4.00 is ok for all purposes, the 3.03 is ok in many receivers, but can cause problems sometimes. The 2.0 is best avoided.
