Ok guys; hot off the press.

Go buy yourself an M2 (M-II/Megapic-2) card for about 50 Euros.
Eg here:
http://www.keycard.dk (follow link "kort & braendere")
or here:
http://www.videoogdatagruppen.dk/ (select language then the M2 card from their top 10 products list)
or here:
http://www.satbutikken.dk (sleect "smartcards" then "megapic" then "M2 universal smartcard")

Then get yourself the conax M-II hex files here:
http://www.stopstop.info/ (enter site; follow link "hexfiler" at top)

Then program the files onto the card using a Phoenix programmer
The software for programming it is packaged with the hex files above.

Et voila.
Reported working by several people already. Opens all conax channels on 1w and 5e.
Er, allegedly.

I presume that this is for people with Conax CAMs only 2old? Doesn't say so in the Readme instructions, but I guess that it must be the case.

Yes, this hex is not a multi-encryption hex (not a 6-in-1). It will only work in actual Conax CAMs as far as I understand (at last I'll get some use out of the damned thing...)

LOL, I nearly bought one a while ago, but settled for having my Aston 1.03 converted to Nagra, haven't used it yet, but experiment with conax on the SS2 which works well.

Just ordered my M-II card from second of above links (videoogdatagruppen) ... will let you know how I get on...
