I do not know if this is the correct place on the forum for this query.

I have looked through a number of posts on the Forum and am confused. Which is the best satellite to obtain Sky in Greece Astra 2A or 2D or Eurobird1 using a Pace Sky+ box?

I have just got a Horizon HDSM USB Plus meter and am on a very, very steep learning curve any assistance would be gratefully received.

Depends what you want - you will get a resonable selection of the pay channels off Astra 2A 2B & Eurobird 1 with a reasonable sized dish, but for many folk the holy grailare the BBC & ITV channels on Astra 2D.

This is the one thats difficult to get in Greece without an insanely big dish.

hello,
i saw this and here is whats the deal.
astra 2 d were bbc 1 and bbc 2 will not be picked up were you are unless you have a big dish 3.8 to 4 meter in diameter.
in cypress they are picking up bbc 1 bbc 2 with a 3.8 to 4,0 meter dish
here in naples we were not able to get this with a 4.0 meter dish.
all the other channels are different.
you will probally need a 1.2 to 1.6 meter dish there.
you sould check the fringe map located in this forum.
itv regions are available by loading this with the others section.
as well as ch 4,E4, fiver us as well as other channels.
lnb should be a good one .2 db or.1 db and the scew of the lnb must be right on
or some channels wwill brake up like some of the movie channels.
you should use a sky receiver that is good for fringe reception as well.
you can see other places in this forum as well which receivers are the best as well as which not to use.
hope this helph
