[QUOTE="jacko, post: 92990, member: 176633"] hi, tomorrow i¨m setting up a TM5500cip motorised system for my neighbour.he wants it connected up so that he can use his sky box as well. obviously the sky box will only work with the dish parked at 28 degrees east. theres a loop through system on the TM. but for the sky box to pick up the signals both horizontal and vertical, would the TM box have to be on standby or off, or would i only be able to pick up one polarity? if this option doesn¨t work for both the signals,i have a manual A-B switch and a disecq switch, but have read that maybe the sky box is not compatable with the disceq switch. i know the easy way out would be to buy a twin lnb. also, say the dish was on hotbird for a couple of hours with the TM box, then the dish turned to 28east and the sky box used, would the sky box have to go through ¨searching for listings¨,or would it come straight back on to the channels? thanks in advance for any replies.
