Ok, a few hours into using the DM8000

Couple of things frustrating:

A). Can't see Channel List properly, channels names are slightly off the screen. Have looked all over the place for a screen calibration.

. Can't mount my Drobo Mass Storage device, tried cifs & nfs, didn't have a problem doing this on the cuberevo, so not sure what i'm doing wrong.

If anyone has any idea's, would be greatly appreciated.

Also, does anyone happen to have a single satellite setup Astra 28.2e with the Sky channels mapped to the Sky channel Numbers?

I spent ages getting all the channels mapped correctly on the CubeRevo, thought I'd ask before I start remapping them all on the Dreambox (which I assume you can do in dreamedit) as it took a day last time :-(

I have sky channels set out in the same layout but not channels numbers
eg BBC1 is 1 BBC2 is 2 you get the picture.
I have it with the rest of my settings which are 42e to 5e.
You are welcome to a copy.

Download a program called 'Dreamset'. You can import your old .dat file to Dreamset and convert it for use with a Dreambox.

I've not tested this, but the option is there in one of the Dreamset menus. See the attached image.

Oh cool, I'll give that a try because I have just tried to load in a downloaded sky uk channel set and I ended up with no channels at all :-(

Ok, Dreamset wouldn't look at the Cube Revo's files, it just came up with a dialog box with loads of corrupt strings before crashing the app (its bad enough having to use Windows for these tools but at least it reminds me why I deserted Microsoft, heheh).

I had to do it the hard way again :-(

Which involves deleting all favorites except one I called SkyUK and then pumping in all the channels in order and renumbered. I have a dummy channel (Sky's background epg music) which I have to copy in 100 times at the begining to kickoff the channel numbering from 101.

Wish I was good enough at coding to create a DBEdit that allows you to renumber channels and it use the channel numbers you give them instead of the way it does work GGrrrrrr.

Is there a screen calibration in this Nabilo version of Enigma 2 ??

I'm sure I have seen one in the past where you move the square until you can see the edges on your screen.

Im not sure if there is in that image. On Gemini E1 there is a screen setup option called 'TuxText Position' under 'Setup / System settings / OSD Settings.

I'm not sure whether that's of any use in this case. Try it out and see.

It may be a case that the correct settings are not being used on the TV itself. Letterbox, Zoom, 16:9 etc.

No, there is not. I believe it is not available on any E2 image.
However, to fix your issue, you need to look at both TV setup and A/V settings on your DM. Especially if you have enabled the AutoResolution plugin.
