D800 Help

Just bought an 800HD to replace a 500 clone.

Guy in shop put Gemini and CCcam 2.0.1 on the box.

Brought home turned on and I have a black (Space Universe) screen that just says "PLEASE WAIT" and will not change. I have tried restarting several times. I can go into the menu of the box and I entered my same lat and long from 500 into the menu (positioner) as I have a USALS motor but I cant find any sats! I dont understand as the 500 works fine with the same settings. The "Please Wait" obviously seems like it shouldnt be there. Any suggestions ?

There is also a pic of a dish flashing on the screen with two arrows around it.

Pretty sure there is a problem with the motor now (Motek 2100) as I plugged back in the 500 and it wont find any sats.

The green light is on (on the motor). Must have something got to do with the 800 box as before it worked fine with the 500. Too much of a coincidence.

try a new image ie.all russian project and install sat. list.

I think whats happened is you have plugged DM800 with whatever configuration is on the box and the motor has moved , probably trying to find a certain sat , then when you have plugged dm500 back in it has lost position.

You need to setup the sats on DM800 and manually scan to a sat and set it . once all sats setup should be ok.

STAGE 1.
Setting up a DM800 none usals
GOTO Main Menu \ Setup \ Service Searching \ Tuning
Press "OK" on "TUNER A"



Use L/R keys to change Configuration Mode to "advanced"
Move down to "SATELLITE"
Use L/R keys to select the satellite you want to add



Go down to "LNB"
Use L/R keys to select "LNB 1"
Next ensure "Diseqc Mode" is " 1.2"
(I left the others at the default setting's)
Scroll further down to "LOF" and set it to "Universal LNB" using the L/R keys



Underneath that set "Use USALS" for this satellite to "no" using L/R keys
Go down to "Stored position"
Set the position you want to for this satellite to appear at using L/R keys ie 001, 002 etc and press ok
Then Press "OK" to save the info you have inputted.
You will need to perform this for each Satellite position you intend to set up. Before you got to positioner setup.

STAGE 2.
GOTO back to Main Menu \ Setup \ Service Searching \ Positioner Satfinder
Go down to "Satfinder"



Press ok on Satfinder next picture



Using L/R keys select "Predefined or Manual transponder" as required
Go down to "Satellite" and use the L/R keys to select the Satellite to place at the above Storage postion
Press "OK"
When you have a lock exit this screen

GOTO back to Main Menu \ Setup \ Service Searching \ Positioner setup



Press ok on positioner setup next picture
Go up to "Tune"
Press the "Red Button"
Select the satellite that you had a lock on, change the transponder so it was the same as in the satfinder picture
