I have a DAB docking station, which has a built in antennae, the rats tail type.

The reception is poor, I have a DAB Triax Aerial, so the cable is 75 ohm.

Is it ok to just connect both together, or has anyone got any other tips?

Cheers

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Are you sure it is a reception issue down to the existing aerial and not the location of the receiver ? Have you tried retuning in another place (upstairs ?)

Do you know where your local DAB transmitter is, and if so, is your receiver in a place that is shielded from that transmitter?

Anyway, whilst there would be a loss, an external aerial (of any type) is almost certainly going to be better than the indoor one you have.

Does the existing DAB antenna disconnect in any way from the docking station ?
