My Satellite Setup
1.2m CM dish with elevation jack, Supermount 1224 H-H rotator, Octagon SX88+, DR.HD D15, GT Media Combo, Ku PLL LNB, C Band: Titanium C1W-PLL, Ka Band: XMW R9216AF with FD9000 feedhorn, Inverto Saorsat LNB and Inverto Ka/Ku LNB . Zone 2 dish pointing at 28E with Octagon SF8008.
My Location
Gloucestershire, UK
With an RSP1A SDR plugged into my PC and my 5 element DAB aerial, these are the transmitters I have received here in the UK this year. I use a program called QIRX on the PC. Tropo propagation doesn't occur as often as for the FM broadcasts but still happens. France and Germany are late to bring DAB to their audiences and, of course, using DAB+ with reasonable bit rates. My best dx was 5C DR Deutchland from Casekow 1109kms away. The other jpg is a freeze frame while receiving LeMans ET on 7A three days ago with audio.

DAB+ here has a lower strenth than FM ,it s stopped by village houses along the road when FM gets through perfectly. It seems to cover only 20 kms... what s the use of DAB+?

Some impressive catches Simon! Presumably this will get more tricky as more Small Scale DAB transmitters come on-line in the UK transmitting in the 7-9 channel ranges.

In QIRX look at the top and find the home button. two to the right is the show map button.1735634015708.png

To make somebody money manufacturing ever more useless boxes.

The coverage has not changed much in years, many countries have already rejected DAB/DAB+ for superior mediums

Yes timo, I have had some SS DAB come on and block dx but in the UK the main services are on channels 10, 11, and 12. 13 is only used in Scandinavia and 5A to 10A is mostly clear except for 8B, 9A and 9B where I have local SS DAB muxes.
