There are also alternative solutions. You can use the grabber included in the DM image, through different options.
1) in your browser, digit http://YourDmIp/grab
2) in your browser, digit http://YourDMIp to open the webinterface, and then take a screen shot from the BoxControl menu
3) still with webinterface, open the webremote
4) launch a telnet session, and digit grab ( digit grab -h for a complete menu of available options ) This is my favourite options as it allows to save directly in jpg, instead of heavy BMP, as well as to SAVE AS, and even control quality to have a light file.

For me, Web Interface on this image is hopeless, nowhere near as useful as the one I use for the Triple Dragon. Or perhaps I'm missing something?

I'd be grateful if you would tell me where I'm going wrong - can't find the Box Control, or Web Remote.

Clicking on the little screen icon for the current channel brings up the Stream Interface, but the channel doesn't appear on there.

You are right, I should have mentioned that....DMM is releasing a WebInterface every day, and some of them are bugged.
If you are still using Nabilo BH07, download from the addons panel the WebIf Enhanced. It is a previous version, previous style, fixed by Nabilosat team. Restart your browser if it is open when you install the new WebIf.
The remote is in the Extras.
It will work.

Do you want to stream from DM to PC ?
Then, make sure you installed VLC on your PC, with all the additional plugins and associate m3u files to VLC. Launch the WebIf and open a bouquet. On the line of each channel, you find an icon that looks like a TV. Click on that icon, and select to open the file with VLC. It will stream
If you are trying to stream an HD channel, it may not work unless you have the proper settings. I will have to find them and let you know.

Hi again. I don't get the option to open a channel with VLC when I click on the icon. It tries to play in Win Media Player, but doesn't connect to the stream.

I've associated m3u, .ts and mpeg files with VLC. I thought the stream is in .ts format? As I said, I have no problem streaming from the web interface with the Triple Dragon, so I assume all plugins are available in VLC.

Anyway, thanks for your help. I only needed a screenshot application. Not really interested in watching stuff on the PC. Just curious as to whether I could with the DB.

Upon clicking on the icon, you should be prompted to select what program opens the file, and you should choose VLC.
It works. Probably, upon installing VLC not all the options were selected. If still interested to streaming, uninstall and reinstall VLC. Upon completing the new install, make sure to tick each selection box available.
It may be a useful feature, especially with the twin tuner, as you may watch a channel on your PC, whilst your family is watching something else

Had to flash the Gemini image to facilitate streaming and other options in the Webif that you mention (Box Control, ability to choose streaming engine). These weren't available on the Nabilosat webif I had.

Works fine now, didn't need to reinstall VLC.

Hi dudes/dudettes,

Just to let people know that i have now completed version 0.1 of my website parser plugin. the plugin has been attached and is available to download. I am putting a link to this topic from the initial topic in which i created.


THE WEBSITE PARSER

Extract the .zip file attached onto your desktop. You should now end up with a .ipk file to use on your Dreambox.

Log into your Dreambox and transfer the file into your /tmp folder.

Once file is in temp do a manual install and then reboot box to use it.

Select plugin from menu and begin using


The plugin currently does the following:

Displays today's football/soccer fixtures for games throughout the world
Shows today's scores for games throughout the world
Shows match stats for certain games throughout the world when available
BBC vide printer shows match events for all English, Scottish and Welsh games and also European and international competitions.

p.s. this plugin is for Dreambox 7025, 800 and 8000 although only tested on a Dreambox 8000

p.s.s. if people could possibly test this for me then that would be great. I currently test using BH 0.12 firmware only.

Unfortunatly my box will not run this plugin, have done manual install twice and on running both times it reports a system error and produces a crash log which has been sent to DM
