If you're using VI you deserve a medal ;)

You can FTP files to your PC and edit them with Notepad..

Notepad uses windows line breaks, you need unix style line breaks so you need a unix style editor, 'ultraedit' for windows is a unix editor.

VI is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it and faster than using your mouse. Much is wrote about vi on the internet, but a slighlty larger version, 'vim' with colour synatx highlighting is available for linux, windows and mac's and other platforms at http://www.vim.org/download.php
Once downloaded type vimtutor and you will see how easy it is to learn.:)

I am also using newcamd on the hotbirds and I'm wondering just what channels I should be seeing in the clear? I get a bunch of the Via channels but nothing Nag, Crypto, Conax, Seca, etc if I have the latest key should any of them come in clear?

On a semi different issue should I be able to use my Showtime/ADDUniverse card from my "official" receiver in my dreambox 7020 to decode the channels I get now? I would like to have the DVR feature to record stuff that is on while I'm at work and also cut down on the number of boxes I use.

Thanks for any help.
