Default setting for Samsung HD TV

Just switched to Virgin HD.
Unfortunately, it seems that the Samsung HD TV I have won't allow a default setting of opening in HDMI mode, unless I have all the scarts unplugged.
Anyone have any idea how I can remedy this - kids wake up and end up waking me up to change the mode!
 
You could try removing pin 8 out all the scart plugs. This will stop all the autoswitching and mean you have to use the "input select" (or AV or source or whatever it's called!) button to select the source.
 
I have also run into this with the Samsung range, afaik there is no programmable fix.

Why not turn off all the other devices before you go to bed at night ?
