Defying Gravity - BBC1 Tuesdays

No, can you advise what I should do ? Is it a torrent site thingy ?

BTW Ive already seen episode 5 but almost fell asleep

Episode 6 is on iPlayer for another three days so I might consider doing that if Usenet is something difficult to deal with

My only gripe(s) were

1) During the initial thrust on a trip round the Solar System, the spinning areas on Antares should have been stopped and possibly retracted into the main body,
2) Rather than specifying phlegm, any body fluid could have been used to temporarily seal a leak in a spacesuit, and
3) In pulling the astronaut back into the air-lock, once momentum had been achieved, there would be no need to continue pulling the cable, and the final result would have been an astronaut travelling faster than could easily be stopped by one doing the pulling with any degree of safety.

Just my tuppence-worth

4) Transmission time delays (rather, a lack of)

I'd rather have Hubris

Possibly why this programme was canned, put it out of it's misery or such-like.

Does it really get any better before Episode 13 ?

At least I can console myself with Buzzcocks and Brooker

And........Episode 6 is on/back on, - now on BBC1

(and I've seen number 7 already...)

Is it me ?

How does auntie beeb expect to get an audience if they change the transmission day every week?

Defying Poop...

Never seen it. Is it about jumping out of a plane without a parachute? :D

yep, straight down into the martian planes, if they ever get there.

Hang on, they haven't landed on Venus yet (unless I've missed yet another episode).

Sadly we will never get to Mars ...Venus being the first target ..
..landing on Venus is EP13
:(

So, I have to endure another five episodes before they stop playing silly buggers on Antares ?

Indeed you do CH ...
I realise the show tends to drag its heels a bit ...but I quite enjoyed the 'getting to know the crew' eps .
I just assumed it would pick up speed once the crew interplay was established..
Sadly I'll never know now that the show has been relegated to the TV industry skip.

The crew interplay could have been achieved in no more than about three hours of filming, not half a day. Hell, there aren't even any adverts to break up the boredom.

I totally agree CH ...but I'm guessing they producers had it in mind to pad it out in order to run for many seasons ...like stargate etc.
..

Stargate, for what it is worth, has an almost limitless supply of possible scenarios, much like Star Trek. Defying Gravity is stuck in one solar system, with at least six months or so of travel between each planet on the way.

They could at least have started a detailed crew interaction thingy after they had dropped onto Venus, it would have kept the ratings up from the beginning.

Point taken CH ..
anyway ..now that I've watched all the eps there are ...I'm road testing the re-make of The Prisoner...with Ian McKellen as No.2...
Looking good so far ..
..its been given an all american slant ...but does pay occasional homage to the origional series ..
In one episode I was quite surprised to see an old penny farthing hanging from the ceiling in what appears to be a bar/drug den ...
...and yes the giant 'bubble gum' ball does play a part..
;)

And I've just watched the last episode, with the realisation that it wasn't going to get any better, fully apparent well before the end of Ep12.

A good thing DG was canned in the state it had been brought to our screens, I trust everyone responsible for scripting/editing that pile of poo will never be let loose on serials again.
