We still find small pieces of the Delorean that was flattened by the train in the last BTTF movie, the last movie was shot in my neck of the woods, unfortunately the wild west set was burned down in a forest fire years ago, but the tracks where the last part was shot is still in use to transport lumber from the local mill.

You can walk the tracks and still see small bits of metal lying around, are they real parts of the last shot??? Who knows, but it makes for a good story for the tourists.

Brings a tear to my eye to see the BTTF DeLorean splattered like an insect...

Looks fake IMHO, like a collection of the appropriate part sat on a frame so it appears to fall apart in a set way. There's a similar thing in the Nicholas Cage film "The Rock" with a Lambo being "blown up" that doesn't really happen, its just a shell thats torched up.

The more I watch it, the more it screams staged, time for a trip to IMDB me thinks.

Erm, you do realise that Back to the Future was just a film, don't you? The whole film trilogy is staged, they weren't really going back & forth through time... :-rofl2

If you watch the parts where the camera is head-on with the locomotive, look at the shadows to the side, the head-on shots show it's just the loco, but the other shots where it smashes into the DeLorean show it has trailers, so, yep, all staged, after all, there seems to be no engine & transmission in the car when it's splattered, and the way it breaks up shows that it was rigged like a clown car to just fall apart... :)
