I consider myself pretty good at spotting Browser hijackers PUPs etc.
Something got me today though.I was looking for something on ebay.
Browsed around a bit .Then shut firefox down.I found that Ebay had hijacked my Desktop.
I have no idea how it got there just a bit of browsing no downloads.Needless to say it was gone not long later.I will have a look later to see if I can do it again and spot what happened.:)

It looks like your explorer.exe got messed up.
You can stop it, and restart it, using task manager.
 
Back to normal now Mickha did a restore.I will keep that in mind though for the next time.:)
 
What form of anti-spyware are you running?

When I go to ebay It opens in safe browser.That works fine.Sometimes though When clicking on an item Ebay opens differently in safe browser.little content on the page just two or three items on the left.
Normally I would kill that page and start again.This time I did not kill it.I did something to get back to the normal page.I think that this is what coursed the problem.
When that page comes up again I will have a good look at it.Try and recreate the problem.

I have been trying to recreate that page.No success yet.I will have to wait until one turns up.The likely problem is .A Stroke and old age has left me with twitchy fingers.They click on allsorts without me telling them to.:)
A bit of clarification When I click on an item instead of showing the sellers page sometimes instead of the sellers page coming up I get A blank ebay page with a few items at the top left.I does not happen often.When it does I will get a screen grab.
