My Satellite Setup
Quad LNB - EMP-Centauri Multiswitch - Freesat
My Location
SW France
I have a 125cm dish with quad lnb pointing at Astra 2e for freesat. Have checked all LNB outputs and verified good signal strength and quality on all four. Have run these into the emp-centauri 5/24 switch (says it works with quad lnb) but can't get a proper signal on the switch outputs. Any ideas?

Presumably all the quad outputs work fine when fed directly to a satellite receiver?

Is there an option switch somewhere on the Centauri to toggle between quad and quattro?

Hi Paul, thanks for the reply. All the outputs from the quad have been tested, and in fact whilst the switch isn't working are currently running a freesat recorder and two freesat boxes so I know the signal is good and there's no issues with cables etc.

The switch itself has 4 gain controls that can be turned to increase or decrease gain by 15db increments and a separate knob for turning terrestrial signals from active to passive. From what I've read the switch should be able to control the lnb and effectively turn it into a quatro by reserving each lnb line for a setting polarisation. Stumped.

A long time ago but they helped me with a fast reply on a query I had:-

Best of luck, hope you manage to sort. respect-048.gif

Maybe it's an early model that doesn't support a quad. Is it brand new? Does the documentation state that it definitely does support a quad?

It is brand new and it even states on the switch itself that it is Quad compat.

Do you have another quad that you could try out?

Otherwise I think you'll have to follow the link that lovelyperson gave.
