Having established Tom and Dick have shifted significantly in the recent winds ...I forgot about the QFH on the roof ...
which my neighbour told me was whipping about like crazy last night..
Thank gawd I mounted it on a frexible PVC pipe ..
..but did it suffer any ..?
Overhead pass of NOAA 19 in approx 30 minutes ..so am going to find out one way or t'other.
Probably my most exposed piece of tech ..though surface area/wind loading is less of a factor...
watch this space..
;)

Not bad at all ...
looks like my QFH is ok ...though perhaps not 'seeing' as far north as previously..
possibly due to the weather to the north of the UK.
Nonetheless ..I'm pleased I don't have to go on the roof to fix it ..
:)
AS is somewhere under that thick cloud North of me ..
Hope you & your dishes are ok buddy...

Its fairly sheltered from southerly & westerly winds in the garden, so all is ok atm, but thanks for the thought :)

The 46E dish may have moved again - that definitely needs looking at, but stuff it - Im about to have a festive beer with my lunch instead of putting my wellies on and squelching round the garden!

The biggest annoyance is our mobile phone mast is still off after storm damage last week....

Glad everything but the phone mast is ok AS ..
We are currently experiencing a lull ...being nicely in that open bit of the UK.
Even Peppa ..(one of my cats) is enjoying it ..
Stetched out on the Playroom window sill ...err ..sunbathing through the glass.
Unbelievable at this time of year..
actually warm under glass.

All seems to be ok here. The multi sat dishes seem to be unmoved and (though I haven't had a chance to test) Big Willy (the motorised dish) looks ok too.

"Big Willy"?

Shirley "Wishful Thinking" would be better?

Mine are rock-solid.

I need to name mine... The Fibo seems to be where it's supposed to be and only checked the CM on 28e where it was parked overnight and it seems to be alright as well.

My two "over the roof" setups are both ok, thank god.:) The bloody noise they made last night, rattling & banging away, I wasn't sure they would still be up on their mounts! It's a pity my rear fence wasn't as sturdy!:(

I returned from France on the 30th and was using my trusty tripod for 19, (my pic on left) as I have just moved house. I thought this would be long long gone or maybe even upside down at the bottom of the garden. Next doors fence was nicely resting on the wifes car so I thought oh no. It had only moved on its axis about 45 degrees and was pointing at the garage. And what did the wife say? 'the french channels arent working'. I said 'I know, have you seen the dish?' her responce...... ' yes, i thought id try anyway' ................. !?!?!?!

No brunette, multi lingual with a masters degree. I once said to her in the channel tunnel I hope this is the train to France, she said' cause it is it said on the sign'.
