Hi Satdude

A complete newbie here so please be patient...

Can i receive these games using my standard sky digibox and dissh or do i need additional equipmet or subscriptions?

You will need a suitable digital receiver with a conditional access module (if it doesn't have one embedded, then you will need probably a 1 mtre dish from your location for solid reception.

In a short cerebro...no :(

you need a complete new setup, ie receiver and dish, depending on what you want, you may even need a motorised system.

all this would set you back over 500 quid, but then you will get loadsa footy :)
i shelled out a while back now, and ive never looked back... its brilliant :)

Thanks for the help guys!

If I wenr down that road, would i need to purchase a viewing card, or would the footie be free?

meaning i could ultimately cancel my sky sports subscription

purchase a card but they are not expensive

here

Thanks Martz

With that card I still need some additional equipment.
What should be the first purchase? Would the minidish supplied by sky suffice?

doubt it, try a zone 2 sky dish that's around 60cm but 80cm or bigger is advised

i'm try to get premership football some has recommeded art sport. what equipment do i need?

Well since you've just posted in someone elses thread you might as well read the rest of it. I think Rolfw has given the info you need.

ok so if I go for a bigger dish will that have any ill-effects on my sky package? Or will it just enhance it?

sorry if these questions sound silly, but I am just curious as to what I need.

No, any dish will suit Sky but above 60 or so cm won't really enhance it. The short answer is get an 80 as is suggested and it will suit Sky and any other receiver. But you will have to move the dish around and when you are on 13e for example you can't watch Sky so maybe get an additional dish and have the best of both worlds.

.... And whilst you may get quite a bit of premiership football you may not get as much as Sky. So you need to decide what your requirements in terms of football are.
