This may be a dumb question, but I looking for a Diseqc motor where the mounting pole is facing upwards. It isn't always obvious from pictures as sometimes they are upside down! How do I know? Is there any significance to the term Stab motor?
Thanks

The connectors will nearly always be on the underside.

Stab is a motor manufacturer.

It also appears that the pole is usually capped for an upwards mount rather than open.

Yes, not thought of that, but would be logical.:)

Hi guys.

I'm quite new here so please fell free to correct me if I am wrong.

It is my understanding from all the photos of motors that I have seen that the dish mounting stub of the motor has to point downwards, otherwise the arc that the dish will follow would be inverted. ie at the centre of the dish rotation the dish would be at the lowest point of it's arc and turn upwards to the east and west extents of it's travel.

I am interested to know if I am correct, as I am think of going the motor rout myself.

Regards
Wes
