Sorry if this has already been asked but.....

I have 2 dishes 1 pointing at 1w and the other at 28E astra. I would like to combine the signals for use via 1 receiver.

Do I just need to purchase a Diseqc switch?

A lot of the references that I've read talk about Diseqc switches and motors with my setup at the moment I don't have a motor.

Even though I'm using a pc (technotrend 3650ci) it does state that it supports Diseqc 1.0.

Thanks,

Mickey

Yes, a DiSEqC switch is exactly what you need.

They cost very little for 2 way and 4 way at least.

I think mine was £2.99 from eBay!

But do make sure you get one with a weatherproof cover.

DiSEqC 1.0 allows switching between up to 4 Satellite sources.

I recently got a Technomate 4 x1 switch from ebay, is was about £7.50 delivered and came with a shroud for outside use.

I'd never bother with a two way, when you can have a 4 way for a couple of quid more, you nver know you might want to add another satellite or two to your setup.

Also, you will need to add change some settings on your receiver to make use of the switch, very simple usually.
