DiSEqC Switch Problem

I have two satellite dishes.
First one is Eutelsat W3A, Second is Turksat 3A.

I used 2x1 DiSEqC Switch to connect my satellites to Dreambox 500HD.
Unfortunately i have one problem. I tried every settings and combinations even i changed my DiSEqC Switch but no luck.

If i plug Eutelsat to port 1 and Turksat to port 2, i can find all channels for eutelsat but no channels for Turksat. I thought it could be a problem of DiSEqC Switch. And i changed Turksat to port 1 and Eutelsat to port 2 and i tried again, this time it found Turksat channels but no eutelsat channels.

Do you have any idea ?
Help appreciated.

And what settings do you have in your receiver?

As it is clear that the switch isn't switching.
 
First i tried this settings. It found all Eutelsat channles but no Turksat. I swapped ports and cables, this time it found Turksat channles but no Eutelsat.

Then i tried advanced settings. Same thing happens.

After setting up your dreambox configuration, unplug the cable coming from the diseqc switch for about 30secs and then plug it in again. This will reset the switch. Then try again.
 
Do you have a Diseqc 1.0/2.0 or a Diseqc1.1/2.1 switch?


I don't know if it will make a difference, but you don't need any diseqc 1.1, or uncommitted commands in there, if using the usual diseqc 1.0 switch.
 
Robbo's right about the uncommitted command. If you're using Advanced Mode, switch uncommited mode to None. This is how I have my configuration for one satellite - committed is AB, your other one will be AA.

(My menu structure is slightly different)

I send my 500HD to technical service. Diseqc is not my only problem. It finds only Vertical channels, i changed my LNB, cable, even my satellite. Still same problem.
This is my second device. First one had fault HDMI. I hope they can fix :(((

Whenever i get my device, i will try your settings! Thanks.
 
Is this genuine DB or a clone?
 
Hi Aethra,
I have found with some different boxes in the past that I needed to select one satellite first and do a satellite scan.
Then select your second satellite and do a channel scan also. You may then find that the switcher works perfectly.

what type of switch do you have, (correct me if im wrong), some diseqc switches are tone burst so i would try lews settings only switch toneburst on below diseqc mode

A Diseqc 2.0 switch is backwards compatible with earlier Diseqc protocols. As your switch uses toneburst switching, navigate to the Diseqc mode in the Satconfig Menu and select Toneburst A/B, configuring your ports to your two satellites.
 
The actual model number would maybe have been more useful, as I suspect that the switch would accept Diseqc1.0 commands and Toneburst.
 
As i said before, i have sent my Dreambox to Germany for repair. I cant test it now.
Whenever i got; i will test; post the results.

Finally i received my dreambox from service. i choosed simple with diseqc a/b and worked like a charm.
They changed my Tuner. There are a lot of positive comment with this box. But i think i was not lucky.
I bought brand new device and hdmi was not working. Replaced by service with another new one. Then tuner was faulty.

Anyway it works now. I hope Dreambox does more test for 500HD.
