Hi again

I have this DMS international 4in1 switch without any instructions.

Is it possible to make this work with 2 dishes & the Comag Porty2 receiver please?


(it's humbling being a complete novice on here. I am usually a know-a-lot, been-doing-it-for 20-years on another forum. Boy does this feel different ---- he said, searching for a quaking in his boots emoticon:o)
 
LOL, don't worry hedge, you are in good company, most of us started with similar questions. :)

The switch should work fine, as most DiseqC receivers and switches are backward and forward compatible.

If you are only using two LNBs, then you should connect dish A to input A or 1 and dish B to input B or 2. Then go into the setup menu and set the receiver satellite settings to DiseqC 1 of 4 for dish A and 2 of 4 for dish B.
 
Hmmm - thxs Rolf. I was trying the tone burst thingy!

At present this ageing masochist is also trying comprehend Linux & Portuguese :(.............but i will just stick to reporting my satellite experiences here, I promise :)

I had actually done it that way the first time, but for some reason I hope not unique to me had selected "all satellites", believeing this bit would be auto!!! - What a dumbo :(
 
What the???!!!!

I am using a new wireless device that picks up a hotspot up to 2 miles away & i am blaming that for the multiple entries .........Sorry ----- Hello mods & HELP!
