Reminds me to a question at the Dr Dish forum from a member who asked what feed could be used to send the power of a microwave oven via his dish to destroy the leaves of a tree , blocking his signal .
De Dr. did't go in to that .

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Not hard to make, strap the magnetron from a microwave oven in place of the LNB on a satellite dish, and hey presto, instant skin boiler... :D

That certainly makes a change from wiring an old vhs tape player up to an aerial & trying to transmit with it! :D

I've heard stories of people in the Army cooking chickens infront of one of their large transmitters during a large data transfer.

I don't know how much truth there is in it though, its just what some of my old Army friends have told me.
