Dish identification for buying the correct lnb holder

My Satellite Setup
Vu+ duo with a 300gb hdd also dm500 and tecnomate 5200 with a 1m and 1.1m motorized dishes and minidish fixed to 28.2

Hi all

I have bought this dish and mount for a song:D:D and i am going to mount it on a 76mm pole into the ground and following the "disaster" post and the lessons to be learnt there i will follow it to the letter but before i go ahead with all this work i am looking to get the correct lnb holder for the dish. I have no idea the make or model of the dish but the dimensions are v=1m 89cm h=1m 68cm does anybody know where to get my hands on a lnb holder as I'm looking to mount a I.B.U on it for viasat on astra 4a:D.

Nice buy, although the dish looks warped from the images.. then again, maybe deteriorating eyesight ;)

No Satellitman your mincers are in tact mate:-righton, altough its not as bad as the photo would suggest Im going to set it flat and slowly over time take the warp out of the dish..
 
hello, you will have to propably have to make another arm.
the one i saw looks rusty and may be shorter than it was when it was new.
do you have the peace that broke off?
i have never seen a dish loke this one so you will have to rig up something.
even a plastic holder from a smaller dish can be fitted to your dish as long as you have the lenth of the arm that will give you the focal point.

I have one of those cheapo 50cm dishes lying idle in the garage. It has a round arm and hence lnb holder, may do the job for you. Let me know the arm diameter.

Hi Ian

The diameter is 20mm. Thanks for your help mate.
 
Yep, just measured it, it's 20mm inside diameter, with a through bolt to secure it, could do you ok. If you are up this way you can have it, or I will post it to you if you pm your address. No charge, the dish is rubbish anyway, think it was an Aldi or Lidl kit dish, I could use it as a wok I suppose.

Be aware that the angle of the lnb clamp could be different , so the lnb does not see the correct focal point .

No problem. If it is the wrong angle as Trust1 says, then nothing lost.
