Is it possible to receive any of the Dish Network packages in the UK or Ireland? If so with what size of dish can one receive the nearest. I see they broadcast from about three different satellites.

36v H to H 62E - 61.5W

Not a hope mate.

Have a look on lyngsat and in the RH column you will see the beams (CONUS).
Continental US beams. Had this come up recently but the other way round, with a US guy looking for stuff nearer to europe.

61.5 West is the first to carry Dish Network..... can you see that from your location? I doubt it, for any others you'll have to tunnel through the core of the earth or move to the states. Click here for more details

He can "see" 61.5W, but it wont do him any good as the signals are firing at the USA.
