Hi Kveys,
I have solution for You.
You have to buy second big dish and set this 2-3 meters left or right from previous one.
Then 7W can be fine. Aerial 2.4 can show some channels from 7W but 3M is better, because signal is weak.

Our arena is their home arena and only place for crickett only in Finland. Otherwise quite good thing and sure nice to watch matches. Many older maybe from british etc. embassy "senior citizen" and I think my wife would hit harder than them:lol:

But yes, these poles and future net makes big difficulties for my sat-dx. But as I said we have solution and hopely soon mates come with me and we build 3m pole for pf and then no so hard problems anymore.

@margusten I cannot put 3rd dish anymore. Have 125 Gibby+that 2.3m pf. Prime focus only for C-band and in fact not even interesting about 7W. 102 verticals Ok with gibby and thats enough.

But that "next" problem you guys dont even believe:p On sunday evening we had same time snowfall and thunder. Guess what happened for my TM5402 and f15? Yes, f*c*in yes they broked by thunder:-dohNow I dont have even stb, nice!
Well insurance company allready made decision and I will get moneys for new boxes. I just ordered TM5302 and TM -F3/5 and hope post will work better from UK this time. Ice hockey world championships just start and dont have sat-box, nice, nice, nice. Not mentioned about new dx-channels either.

This is sure best time of my life:-rofl2

Sorry to hear you got hit. I'm paranoid about lightning and everything is connected to surge protectors or unplugged at the first sign of a rumble, but I feel a bit exposed being at the top of the highest building for miles around...

The positive side of it is I can take photos like this, taken a couple of years ago...

Looks like that was over Kerava way too... ;)

Thanks, so far I've just been able to enjoy the shows without paying the price. Only thing that has gone recently is a surge protector which I noticed had failed (or the indicator LED) after a storm, but it might have been a coincidence.

Ouch! That's really bad luck!

Hockey... hm, let's hope the Russkies manage to actually win a game or two after their disgraceful attempt at the Olympics.

You could spy in the clubhouse and see if they play darts as well. But don't blame me if you die from boredom.

I've had a couple fail over the last year due to big storms. In addition to some more Belkin SurgeMaster surge and RFI plug cubes, I got some of these surge protected plugtops http://cpc.farnell.com/pro-elec/9518s/plugtop-surge-protected/dp/PL10022 to replace the normal plugs on the surge protected RFI extension leads which are connected to the surge and RFI plug boxes. That means I now have three surge protection units on most lines which may sound like overkill but its cheaper and less time wasting than the computers and sat gear going BOOM!

Very generous of you Kveys ...
I always find scrap stuff useful in my job ..
Just ask Digi247 ...whom I recently repaired a TM5402 for (third party involved).
I rarely give up on a repair unless spares simply aren't available..
This is where the BER stuff comes in ..

This is interesting hobby and allways nice if can be kind for other enthusiasts:)

Today my sat-friend cad60 first drove 170km then that whole mastchange took many, many hours and then he drove back home again 170km. And also pole is made by him. And he didnt do anything because of money, only helped other mate with difficult situation. This sure is respected work:-applause

Very nice! How stable is it at the top there? The pole diameter looks substantial!

It seems very, very stable but time will tell..? Fine tuning (motor+Lnb) was..... interesting... there in over 3 meters:lol:
It is now allmost Ok but some little Lnb skew etc jobs still. 28C here and we thought finally that I can see most of C-channels and that´s enough for now:)

Btw. CJ it looks like Fin-Rus final, after 2nd period (ice-hockey semifinal).

I guess the mesh c-band dishes don't weigh as much or have as much wind resistance. Is it fixed to a rock base or man made concrete?

11C here in the UK and heavy rain, I'm sure by the time I get to Finland it'll be all over.

My employees made concreteworks. Yes dish itself is not heavy weight but Lnb skewing needs Hiab-car now:-rofl2

Nice job Kveys! How deep in the ground your pole is cemented? In case if you start to feel some movement at the top, you always can make additional strength bars to the ground or to the building. I think that only minus in your system is that it is C-band oriented.
