We all have our own way of setting up our dishes.I used to lug a LCD tv and TM-5402HD onto the roof of the shed.
This worked well the problem was getting the tv past the veranda rails. Now that the tv is 23 inch it is too much hassle. What I do now is set the tv and TM-5402 up in the shed and point one of my spare ip cameras at the tv.Then log in to the camera on my cheepo tablet and adjust the dish using the tablet.
The downside is that I cannot change the transponder or satellite while sat on the shed roof setting the dish up.I will have to show Mrs Ponti how to change satellites and transponders.

OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

You could also get an IR repeater for the remote and a long video cable, move the receiver up to the dish, leave the TV in the shed along with the IR receiver, leave the video link as is this way your all set.

I use to have a small 10 inch video screen mounted in a briefcase along with a satellite small satellite receiver, worked wonders for tuning dishes, one day it fell off a 5 story roof, never to work again.

Very good idea, many of us now have these little wifi cams, I now have three and move them around to either watch the badgers in the garden, the birds in the feeder, or at the offset of winter, in the loft to watch out for mice. :)

Great Advise
I still use a 5402 technomate for motorised alignment. Engima2 doesnt provide a meter. Also the cheapo lcd gtmedia meters on ebay arnt good with motor control.

It workes for me.It beats shoving a big LCD TV up the ladder onto the shed roof then the TM5402 and cables. It is just as much trouble getting them doun again.
I went down the meter route a few years ago.I bought a Satlink WS-6933 the screen is so dim that it is useless outside.
I use a program called Onvier on my tablet for setting my ipcams up

Rolf will know I use an Emitor Sat-Look analyser for most of my work. Not DVB-S2 compliant (so no constellation unless DVB-S), but the spectrum and tone generator will do the job more than adequately.

For everything else I use the RF Explorer.
