My Satellite Setup
Technomate 7755, 80cm dish - Hotbird
My Location
Newcastle
Does anyone know if an 80cm dish will be adequate for a good picture on Digitalb - I'm about 10 miles south of Newcastle on Tyne.

I have been receiving Art for the last season and was pleasantly surprised at the picture quality which was far better than I had been led to believe. How good is Digitalb in comparison?

Should be Ok, But I dont know about rain margin

Dont expect a g8 picture m8 digitalb's not known for it's strong transponder signal..

well i can give u a good example.

I am also 10 miles south of newcastle and have an 80cm dish with 0.2db lnb

my music, digialb channels are no problem when weather is clear. when raining, no chance.

Also the premium channels are a no go most of the time.

However I do have a tree issue.

But I would say I need a 90cm to be pretty much safe for 16e

go for 1metre to be sure as i'm in west yorkshire and the signal is iffy at times great when clear weather but not so good in the rain this is on 90cm dish

I have an echostar 3600ip viacess.can only recieve the 11.449h frequency for digitalb. Not the11.092v.am preparing for the football.a dealer told me that as my echostar is a grey import i wont be able to manage this as there is a deadspot on the echostar. does anybody knoe if this is true asi dont want to buy a cam and card if my receiver isnt up to it.

See this thread, the 3000 model is not happy with symbol rates above 30,000, not sure whether the 3600 has the same problem.
