Can anyone advise if l would be able to reach Intelsat 907- 27.5 west with a 80cm dish based in Manchester area

Being able to easily receive the strong signal from 27.5W is all well and good, but if you are wanting to get the UK Channels from there, you'll need a receiver than can cope with the high Symbol Rate and the necessary BISS decoding.

If you look at the long (very long!) Topic about this, then there aren't that many capable Receivers.

Yes, i have a technomate F3/5 which will accomodate . I am just wanting to test the box before l take to Portugal. The dish will be an upgrade to my 60cm dish in the UK when l have tested. Thanks

We assume its the UK channels you want, if its the VOA or African channels then you will need a much bigger dish

ISTR the F3/5 doesnt work with the UK encrypted channels - Tuiv bricked his receiver trying to get it going.

Its not just the BISS, its the encrypted PAT table

No, that was the Skybox F3: Our friend has the Technomate Rx with the confusingly similar name! That should work.

You will lose those too as soon as Arqiva change the codes :D

Last time it was several weeks before the codes leaked, and Arqiva known very well whats going on
