Dish size info for Nilesat 7W in western Europe & the UK

Nilesat 201 signal strength is very very poor in the UK kungu. The absolute minimum dish size is 2.4m and its quite possibly quite a bit bigger. This sort of dish size is just not practical for most people here in the UK

Sadly the former strongest transponders on 101 have been switched to 201 recently, think the 7W slot wont be here for long for us.

Wonder how long 102 will last.

Both listed as being on Eutel 7 West A. Thats the most favourable satellite at 7W for the UK. Hopefully someone will be able to give you an idea for the London area soon.

i'm new and would like to present my reception for the AB7WA at 7,3°W

All "MENA" Transponders have a lock on my Dreambox 500 HD, but <11GHz they're not so strong like e.g. the Al Jazeera Sport Transponder

Here are some screenshots with SNR on 13:50 METZ; in the evening the transponders are 0,5-2dB stronger than now

12465 H 27500.
AD sport1. 1HD. 2HD.Sport2. Sport extra. FTA.
A scan with my tm5402HD 97cm dish I get quality 52% .
broken sound no video.

yes getting them here t/m1500 1.2 c/m dish perfect lock 73%

Yes things are lookin up.On my TM5402 I have a jerky picture.54% quality.On my Alien2 57% quality broken picture. must be the weather.

And dish not big enough.of course.

i find the tm 1500 rubbish on weak signals but good for locating, if you have another box i would give it a try, i am also getting 6 test channels test1/6 @ 11.659v 27,500

No these are definitely on 7 west just tried these now and these are really strong for me on the DR HD coming in at 9.5db mine are just coming in labelled as TV1-7 - 11659H Niles

as said above definitely on 7 west, look at the tp :-).

Yes, probably 7.3W on Eutelsat 7 as it's slightly further west than the Nilesat transponders. Surprised to see a Nilesat 201 transponder scan in OK, 12034H is 201 according to both Lyngsat and Flysat but is a quite respectable 6.6dB yet all other 201 transponders are below lock although I can see them on the spectrum.

locking ok now -- just --- 10.45 pm on 1.8 c.m. here in the north west

ive just scanned in a new mux ive not seen before maybe @ 7.3w 11.135h 22.000 morroco chat and test 02/08 sorry if already reported


edit maybe coming from 8w ? its very strong here
