Anyone please help i currently have an 80cm solid lenson heath dish, but neighbours......moan,moan,moan you get the picture. Why can't you have a smaller dish.Is there anyone that can tell me if i am better off having this dish or forking out for a mini-dish.I have had this dish for about 4 years, and 4 years of hassle.
Plus if i buy a s** di** b** can i use my card in it.My old pace was the first ever model a bit tired to put it polite.Seen on ebay thinking of buying but does sky need any info???????

Hi Neil,

You could certainly get by with a 43cm minidish, but possibly better with a 63/70cm one, they certainly look neater than what you have.

Can't quite see what your neighbours have to complain about, as it certainly falls inside planning constraints. With regard to a new digibox, you can phone Sky and get them to marry the card to any new digibox.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

In most circles of discussion (not just satellite) the saying 'size is important' works for most situations.

If you cannot bump off your neighbours, simply put a short note through all letterboxes to state that you will be camouflaging tje dish over the next few days so it blends in with the wall and surroundings

Then one night respray it the most vile fluorescent orange/green or pink (available for about 4 quid in B +Q), and leave it for a week or two.

If anyone complains , tell them its the primer base , and wait , and wait and wait

Wait as long as you dare then respray it either the same colour grey or maybe darker, and I bet you will get no complaints

I had the same problem but with a slightly larger dish. I finally bought the neighbours house, another solution

I still have neighbours complaining about my dish, but erverytime they tell me to take it down I just show them that their parasol is bigger than my dish. And my dish is grey their parasol is pink and green.

leonardwolk - Are there any planing regulations in the Baltic Sea (55N / 13E)

Hey, I've just had a thought, your neighbours must be seagulls.

Would like to say thanks for all the people who have replied. Some very good solutions the spray paint for oneO-Ha ,anyway i'll stop with the dish for now as i do have a very good signal strength and why pay the cost to have it replaced with another dish which might not give the same performance. The 63-70cm mini-dish how much?

The standard universal LNb will not work well with the eliptical Zone2 minidish, it really requires the purpose made LNB. If you wish to use that LNB, then you will need to buy a more conventional shaped 60cm dish, they are around £30 without an LNB.

Yes, I've seen the zone 2 minidish on the Satalogue web site but I don't think it was cheap. LNB supplied with it. Supposed to work really well.
