Dishes on holiday

Hi everyone,

I was recently staying at a holiday village down in Southern England and couldn't help but notice the AV distribution setup they had going on.

I spotted a few of these Philips satellite dishes scattered around the site. From the looks of it, they appear to be feeding the local IRS (Integrated Reception System) to serve the various groups of holiday homes.

As you'd expect, they were all pointing squarely at Astra 2. What was also interesting was that there was an aerial array rigged up right next to the dish setup, presumably so the local DTT

Spotted in Tirana, Albania near the main square. Never seen such an array before. I guess they had to do it to get out of the shade of the tall building.
By the way, Albania is lovely, had a great time there.

Nothing shocking but ... exotic place though.
I guess all of French Polynesia receives the VINI package off Intelsat 18 (180°E).

Very interesting, thanks for sharing! The first one seems to be a TDF transmitter site, presumably downlinking the France TV feeds off 180E for DVB-T/T2 transmission.

ASTCA Ili'ili Teleport, scenically placed in the middle of a golf course.
As per the guy there these monsters now serve only as a "decoration", no real use of them anymore.
