Well plenty of countries represented in the thread but Ive got a new one to add. Here are my finds from the beautiful country of Slovenia :D

We had 2 weeks holiday in the tiny village of Kranjska Gora in the north western corner of the country.

So left to right - two in and around Kranjska Gora, the comms tower on top of Pec mountain (1509m) - fascinating place as its the place where the Slovenia, Austria & Italy borders meet, and a Fraccaro on the comms building - with an old sticker for RTV Ljubljana on the box to the right of the door :D

Oh the first comms tower is in Austria & the second one (the moody dark pic with threatening clouds) is in Slovenia!

So what do we have next???

A wonky set of comms gear on a house near our hotel, and four around Rateche village.

The middle pic is of a rather nice little bar where we spent two hours hiding from a tremendous thunderstorm after our bus didnt turn up! It was a rock pub which was a surprising find in a tiny village.

Now 6 from Ljubljana. The place with the multiple dishes on it is the HQ of RTV Slovenia. The long range high level pics are taken from the ramparts of Ljubljana Castle

(I ahem just happened to lead us past the RTV Slovenia buildings on our quest to try a beer from a micro brewery outlet) :-righton

And now a few from Venice

I see a selection of Fraccaro's, what looks like the back of a Channel Master, and two inside "radomes" on a cruise ship! :D

This was on a recent trip to Kathmandu, Nepal. The first dish was found on top of some building, while the TV shot is from our hotel room during heavy rain. According to the frequency on screen and the channel, it looks like the signal is from _http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/telkomvision.html

Any idea what receiver that might be?

Visited the old Arab village of Acco on the Coast of Israel during my travels, here is a good selection of photos representative of the type of damage experienced in coastal areas caused by the salty sea, the last one being someones attempt to overcome the degredation which provided the grease does not contain metallic additives should help even though it is ugly

Dear Topper,

You and find plenty of rain and sunlight in ME. That's why most of the dishes are been rusted. That's why 80 - 90 per cent of people prefer to buy handmade dishes, 'coz they're almost free and will cost them nothing if getting damaged. You can replace it for a few $$$$$.

hi -
dishes on motorhomes are commonplace these days - but dish setups on older caravans are not often seen -
spotted this fine example on a campsite on the isle of skye this week

cheers nelson.b.

That takes on a whole new meaning to the "Dishes on holiday" thread, since that dish is on holiday with the owner. :D

Another evening excursion into Protaras for food and the C band dish I noticed the night before, I'm assuming the hotel went up after the dish, if not there's some right cowboys over here! Pointing at Arabsat 30E.

Certainly won't be 24/7 and on both polarities. Cannot find out until I put a spectrum on and see what is available.. and that won't be until my next trip out.

If you'd have the possibility to do that it would be great. As for 2D, be prepared to have quite some differences testing at different times of the day.
